Mortgage surveyors often write ‘roof covering is ageing’ and leave you with a worry and no price. We go and look. You get photos of the actual faults — a nail-sick slate, a flat roof with standing water, a flashing that has left the wall — and a split between what will leak this winter and what can wait.
It is the same inspection we do before quoting our own work. If you want us to carry out the repairs, fine. If you want the report to renegotiate or to brief another roofer, that is also fine. The point is you are not guessing.

Is this a full building survey?
No. It is a roof survey from a roofer: coverings, flashings, gutters, visible timber and the loft where we can get in. It is not a RICS building survey and it does not cover damp, electrics or the rest of the house.
